Diagon Alley

Post by Morgan on Tue Jul 02, 2013 8:51 pm

The sun was shining shyly through a net of clouds, brushing the surface of the buildings occasionally. It was a mild summer afternoon, but the temperatures weren't very high... Not as high as Océane was accustomed to.
The young girl had combed her sand-brown hair into a nice ponytail, but several streaks had escaped the hairdo and fell around her face, framing it lightly. Her pale green eyes shone as she looked around in Diagon Alley... It was the second time she had come to London. She felt like a stranger here, for she was a Beauxbâtons student, and Beauxbâtons students didn't come to London for furniture.
She was dressed in a casual white top and a pair of slim jeans; her blue cape was attached by a silver chain around her little shoulders. As for her wand, it was in her pocket, and she always had her hand on it.

Clark stood outside of gringotts, the bank of the wizards as he looked down the alley; smiling as he checks out each and every person in his head. He was a hogwarts student, one in the house of slyrherin. His blue eyes shown brightly as he glanced around, his best buddy having fine to her a chockate frog a few minutes ago.

He noticed a girl enter the alley and noticed by the way she looked at everything SE wasn't from around here, as smirked. He kept a close eye on her as he combed back his shirt red hair

Océane kept walking; she was looking for lionfish spines. Somebody had told her she could find a jar of it at the Apothecary in Diagon Alley, but she just couldn't find it.

Lionfishes were venomous fishes with very long and separated spines. When the spines were crushed into powder, they could be used in various potions, including the Wiggenweld potion (which was a healing potion) or the Herbicide potion (which, like the name told, was used to kill of herbs). But that wasn't the only use; Océane's potion teacher in Beauxbâtons had told her that there were loads of complicated potions that could be made with Lionfish spines.

She passed Gringotts, and saw a boy with red hair and blue eyes looking at her. Perhaps he could help her?
She walked up to him and said in an English marked by her French accent:

"Do you know where the Apothecary is, please?"

Clark nodded as he examined the French girl, well he assumed she was French because of her accented English. "Sure thing" he said, standing up straight, at which he was only an inch or so taller than her. "It's right this way" he said and began walking down the street towards the shop she desired.

The apothecary sat in between two other buildings that sandwiched the slightly smaller and off-color building. It was done in the same architectural style as the rest of diagon alley, but had slightly different features. Overall though, with the sign handing and moving in the breeze it was a good, small shop with everything a wizard or witch would need.

He opened the wooden door for her, oak he thought as he smiled. "Enjoy your shopping trip" he said, peering inside the shop.

The young girl followed him until they arrived at a little building; the notice above the front door said: 'Slug& Jiggers Apothecary'.

"Thank you very much!" she said with her lilting accent.

Walking in, she immediately went to the jars on the right, searching for the label "Lionfish spine".

There was Wormwood Essence, Valerian roots, Silverweed and Saltpetre; shelves full of Salamander blood and trunks filled with Pomegranate juice and Peacock feathers... but nowhere was "Lionfish spine" to be found.

Clark waited outside, not really sure what to do now that he had helped her. He could text that girl in raven claw....again... But maybe he woul look desperate? He shook off the thoughts and looked through the almost empty streets, wand in hand.

He twirled his wand, muttering simple spells to create flashes of light ad other such harmless effects. No griffindor was around to harass, and none of his house-mates were in the alley, so he was practically stranded.

Finally, Océane found the jar and went to pay. Fortunately they had the gallions-currency too in England!
She paid two gallions for the jar and stuffed it into her bag, going out. She spotted the red-haired boy waiting outside, making his wand twirl in his hand and flash from seconds to seconds lights off. As she went out, one of the lights blinded her - she tripped and fell.

Clark saw that she was begin to fall, and after switching off the light, he stepped forward and caught the falling girl, supporting her from under the arms, as he lifted her. "There you go" he smiled as he glanced around her "you have everything you need?

Océane caught his shoulder and got up.
"Yes, thank you," she breathed. Then, she looked into his eyes. "My name is Océane, by the way. I'm from Beauxbâtons."

OOC: Post at the school? Vic/Jane?

Océane smiled, and let go of his shoulder, taking a step back. Her delicate sand-brown hair stroked her shoulder, shining sweetly.
"Yes, I have everything I need," she replied. "And it's nice to meet you."

Océane smiled shyly as he started flirting. "I don't know whether we'll meet again. We're not even going to the same school." Then she turned her smile into a cheeky one as she started flirting too. "But if you wish, we can go and have a drink together."

"Yes, perhaps after the school year," Océane acknowledged as she allowed him to lead the way to a pub called The Fallen Dragon. It was quite dusty, she observed as he held the door for her, but after all, many pubs were. They took a seat at a table in a corner and Océane asked for a butterbeer.

"Beauxbâtons is a castle, a bit Renaissance-like, you know? Of course, I can't tell you exactly where it is - it's a secret, like for Durmstrang. But it's an amazingly beautiful school, I can assure you of that."

She drank a small sip and smiled at Martin while passing a hand through her soft brown-blonde hair.

"And you?"

He smiled, simply telling her what he could say about hogwarts, as well as making a few flirting comments to her.

"So, you have a boyfriend?" He asked eventually, smiling as his blue eyes glinted

Océane listened to him attentively, he had a nice, rich voice, the type she liked. When he asked whether she had a boyfriend, she inclined her head to the side.

"Why do you ask?" she cheekily said, looking into his eyes.

Océane looked down, batting her eyelids, then up again. She brushed his leg with her thigh as she changed her seating position, and gazed back into his blue eyes.

"Does this guy know much about me?" she asked, still with her natural flirty cheek.

His grin was sexy and Océane smirked back, not minding as he put his hand on her knee.

"Well, then I have to tell this guy that no, I don't have a date - for now," she added with a wink.
